was taking the LRT back and as usual it was in the peak hours thus it's rather packed.
Just when the door of the train was about to close an uncle came charging in, ah of cos since he was charging in like a rhino he managed to "squeezed" in, and i can see from his expression tat he was quite happy a expression of triumph that he had managed to squeeze in, but in doing so he crushed a few ladies in front and i heard a indian lady saying "Aiyoh, Aiyoh..." crushed between bodies...ok another train was at the opp platform ( those who take Teck Whye LRT, shld be aware that at CCK interchange u can take frm either side)
Actually such incidents happen frequently in LRTs and MRTs, no big deal.
But the bottom line here is that always in trying to achieve what we want, did we think about other parties? the suffering of others? If he didn't display that smug face and instead a more humble expression, at least i dun have anything to say. Have we really been so fanatic with our lives and the desire to get ahead of others that we have forgot all sense of humility? and to empathies with others? or it's alright to do anything just to get what we wan w/o regards to all else and feelings.
yesterday also, a lady was complaining to a auntie that she was poking her stomach making her uncomfortable, ah in a nice tone. then instead of saying sorry, the auntie exclaimed "If u wan to be squeezed take Taxi la!"... Why we can't just apologise and admit our mistake instead of trying to come out wif all type of stupid reasons and argue just for the sake of arguing? Is this the right attitude?
