命中注定我愛你 (Fated to love you)

OK I admit, i am a sucker for romantic comedies from the last "it all started with a kiss" to this drama... OMG dunno watched how many times... haha I think Taiwanese really like Cinderella stories..Story plot is always a very normal gal end up with a super guy...

Synopsis:

A really hard working class girl or also known as a sticky note girl (always want to please everyone) named Chen Xin Yi has the desire to tie down her handsome boyfriend to be with her. Due to certain reasons, her boyfriend gets her to go on a love cruise and she started to ponder on how to lose her virginity and tie down her boyfriend. Xin Yi ended up taking cold medicine which made her drowsy and went into Ji Cun Xi's room by mistake. Cun Xi is the sole male heir to his family's company and has been in love with his girlfriend, Anna, for a long time. He planned to propose to Anna on the boat but she didn't turn up on the cruise cos she chose to go to New York for a Ballet assignment. An islander of Jiang Mu Island added drugs into Cun Xi's drink (to threaten him into not selling his factory because Cun Xi just bought over the factory and wanted to retrench all the workers) and Cun Xi became disorientated and returned to his own room. He thought Xin Yi was Anna and they ended up having a one night stand. Xin Yi later finds out that she's pregnant and Cun Xi's grandmother forces them to get married.

After marriage, Cun Xi gradually found himself more and more attracted to Xin Yi, the simple gal who is always sincere to everyone without motives. He found himself doing alot of things which is sometimes hilarious but touching to Xin Yi. Xin Yi found herself falling for Cun Xi.

Due to a series of tragic incidents, Xin Yi had a miscarriage and she mistaken that Cun Xi do not want her nor their child. In tears, she went to Shanghai with Dylan to start afresh. After 2 years of hardwork, she changed from the simple Chen Xin Yi to the attractive Elaine but deep in her heart, she still cannot forget Cun Xi. Cun Xi was devastated as he didn't know that he had truely fallen for Xin Yi.

By pure fate, Cun Xi and her met at Shanghai, and the suppressed feelings of Xin Yi re-ignited.
Xin Yi was very cruel to Cun Xi at first and this made Cun Xi realise that he should let Xin Yi go. He decided to use a ficticious identity, Mr Z to continue to encourage Xin Yi in the dark.
After a day together with Cun Xi, She began to forget the hate for Cun Xi and realised that she can't forget him even after so many years. She went back to Jiang Mu island for a holiday to visit her parents to escape from Dylan (is wooing her) whom she can't face.

Back in Taiwan, Cun Xi found out what cause the misunderstanding then between him and Xin Yi, he finally realised who he really loved and decided to woo her back at all cost. He broke up with Anna just a few days before their wedding.

After a few twists and turns, they were finally married even though they were misled to think that Xin Yi was infertile by a very scheming clinic. the "myth" was later exposed and Xin Yi realised how much Cun Xi loved her. He is even willing to marry her even though he knew she was "infertile"...

The 2 leads made a cameo appearance in another drama, "Wu Di San bao mei"...

Ok CCNA coming up, gotta study...

DID I MARRY THE RIGHT PERSON?

EVERY relationship has a cycle. In the beginning, you fell in love with your spouse / partner . You anticipated their call, wanted their touch, and liked their idiosyncrasies (unconventional behavior/habit) ..

Falling in love with your spouse wasn't hard. In fact, it was a completely natural and spontaneous experience. You didn't have to DO anything. That's why it's called 'falling' in love... Because it's happening TO YOU.

People in love sometimes say, 'I was swept of my feet.' Think about the imagery of that __expression. It implies that you were just standing there; doing nothing, and then something came along and happened TO YOU.

Falling in love is easy. It's a passive and spontaneous experience. But after a few years of marriage, the euphoria (excitement) of love fades. It's the natural cycle of EVERY relationship. Slowly but surely, phone calls become a bother (if they come at all), touch is not always welcome (when it happens), and your spouse's idiosyncrasies, instead of being cute, drive you nuts.

The symptoms of this stage vary with every relationship, but if you think about your marriage, you will notice a dramatic difference between the initial stage when you were in love and a much duller or even angry subsequent stage.

At this point, you and/or your spouse might start asking, 'Did I marry the right person?' And as you and your spouse reflect on the euphoria of the love you once had, you may begin to desire that experience with someone else. This is when marriages breakdown. People blame their spouse for their unhappiness and look outside their marriage for fulfillment.

Extramarital fulfillment comes in all shapes and sizes. Infidelity is the most obvious. But sometimes people turn to work, a hobby, a friendship, excessive TV, or abusive substances.

But the answer to this dilemma does NOT lie outside your marriage. It lies within it. I'm not saying that you couldn't fall in love with someone else.
You could.

And TEMPORARILY you'd feel better. But you'd be in the same situation a few years later. Because (listen carefully to this):

THE KEY TO SUCCEEDING IN MARRIAGE IS NOT FINDING THE RIGHT PERSON; IT'S LEARNING TO LOVE THE PERSON YOU FOUND.

SUSTAINING love is not a passive or spontaneous experience. It'll NEVER just happen to you. You can't 'find' LASTING love. You have to 'make' it day in and day out. That's why we have the __expression 'the labor of love.' Because it takes time, effort, and energy. And most importantly, it takes WISDOM. You have to know WHAT TO DO to make your marriage work.

Make no mistake about it. Love is NOT a mystery. There are specific things you can do (with or without your spouse) to succeed with your marriage.

Just as there are physical laws of the universe (such as gravity), there are also laws for relationships. Just as the right diet and exercise program makes you physically stronger, certain habits in your relationship WILL make your marriage stronger. It's a direct cause and effect. If you know and apply the laws, the results are predictable. .. you can 'make' love.

Love in marriage is indeed a 'decision'.. . Not just a feeling.

Remember this always:

'God (Fate) determines who walks into your life. It is up to you to decide who you let walk away, who you let stay, and who you refuse to let go.'

A Blind Girl's Painful Lesson

Extracted this in Mypaper today, tot it's a good reality check. Are you like that?

There is a story about a blind girl who hated hereself because she was blind. She detested everyone except her loving boyfriend who was always there for her.

One day, She turned to him and said: "If only i could see the world, I will marry you."

It wasn't long before someone donated a pair of eyes to her.

When the bandages came off, she was finally able to see everything, including her boyfriend.

He asked her:"Now that you can see the world, will you marry me?"

The girl looked at him and saw that he was blind, just like she was before.

She had not expected that and the thought of looking at his closed eyelids for the rest of her life totally turned her off.

Her boyfriend left in tears. Days later, he wrote her a note saying:"Take care of your eyes, my dear, for before they were yours, they were mine."

This story illustrates how selfish-knowingly or otherwise- we can sometimes be. It shows we can easily forget where we come form. We often take our friends and loved ones for granted, even though they helped us through the most trying times.

We often fail to acknowlege those who have been intrumental to our success..

Recent Happenings

Raining this morning so can't go for my regular Saturday swimming trip. Nvm change activity to blogging haha...

The recent financial storm have been in news lately... Everywhere people are scared, not only investors but also ordinary workers like me cos MNCs are laying off people... Just today heard AIA SG have laid off 20, Motorola, Amex are set to follow.... I asked a fren who is working in OCBC, he also say gone are the good days in the banking sector...

There have been alot of protests with regards to the High Notes 2/5 and minibonds products which are related to the collasped Lehman brothers... I know many felt cheated by DBS into buying the product, and some are demanding 100% compensation... my personal view ( i know many will disagree), and in a word of fairness , i dun think 100% compensation is resonable for the banks and financial institution. 50-70% is fair enough...
Why? because everyone should know that there is no free lunch in the world (even those who are less educated, less than P6). who in the world will give u 5% annual interest every year for nothing?? Savings are only 0.25%. So for those who say they are cheated, i dun think they can fully justify lor.... i do feel sorry for those old uncles and aunties esp those who sink their entire savings into buying these products, those i feel are geninuely ignorant but there are many who KNOWS the risk but still wants to speculate. when something goes wrong they act blur and try to get something out of it. This group deserved to be taught a lesson, when things are rosy, they nv complain how come so much interest when things go wrong they say they are ignorant...

Anyway even if there's really some compensation by the banks, it's also using our $$. When they earn $$ these ppl also nv share with us, when they have losses, we compensate... though i still think a fair amout of compensation is realistic, i do hope it's not 100% because we need to be taught a lesson in greediness. Don't be too greedy and fall pray to those 'financial advisors' who are trying to acheive their quotas...

All investments carry certain risk, Invest only in those products that u know, with the $$ then u can lose. Don't be too greedy....
