Shoes search

Got $50 from my dad for a new pair of shoes cos the $50 nike running shoes that i bought 2.5years also started to "speak" haha so no choice, even after I glued it back, whenever it touch water, the gap opens up again... anyway the surface also in tatters so I guess it's time to change also.

Went searching for a new pairs of shoes, dd suggest we buy those outdoor trekking shoes, so we went to beach rd, saw this columbia shoes the design quite nice but it's $110++. Wah really quite ex for my standard. Then we went to Queensway saw a similar pair but another brand selling for $88. Alas one series the color nice but design not nice, another series design nice but color not nice. Wah super hard to find a suitable pair.

Actually I also quite sianz after all these search, mabbe will decide to buy the columbia one... but the price quite expensive leh... meaning I have to top up nearly $70 to buy that pair, somemore it's those high high one(the sides higher) find it funny to wear that type of shoes to school leh...
Should I buy or not???

10millon Toto Ang pow and O levels

This friday got 2 big events in Singapore, the 10millon CNY toto ang pow and the release of O levels results which falls on the same day... yesterday, friday 10 feb 2006
All somehow related to me cos I also go join in the fun and buy $2 of "quick pick" and also my youngest bro is one of the ones who got his results.

Toto:
Same as the last time I bought think last year bought $1 quick pick, got 3 numbers correct meaning never win any $$. This year I play bigger, $2 haha but still didn't win Haiz think I dun have luck with such lottery. looks like I gotta honestly save to build up my assets... no choice.

O' Levels
Such a miracle, my bro actually got 14 pts... he O levels also nv really study(everyday play computer games for at least 4hrs)... last time I got 16 but my Eng got D7(1st attempt, 2nd attempt get C5) ... but his eng composition really like pri sch eng( according to my 3rd bro )
He is such a lazy person dun think he deserved the 14 pts... looks like students nowadays getting better and better results... how come huh? or izzit this year got many top students(from top schools of cos) never sit for the exams so the markers(ah pehs at cambridge) cannot see the big difference in quality between the very good and the not-so-good? haha my dad even gave him $300 as reward to buy a mobile phone.
To think he(my bro) got 30+ pts in his mid-year(actually frm sec1-sec4 pts like that, mostly C grades) dunno why he can do "so well" in his O levels..exam luck? or just shrewd? dunno leh
Now he sort of "yaya" already...keep shouting at my mum and making those sounds like he's "very big" like that cos of his "good" results...
Don't like his attitude, because of his little achievement, he sort of gloat and become arrogant. TO think he even look down on Polytechnics and call them "lousy". It's an institute for those who can't get into JCs.
Anyway I am very irritated wif his attitude and his seemly "I-know-everything" thinking(when he doesn't know much). So till now I still dun wan to talk to him. Heck care him, I dun need him anyway. He's so arrogant tat watever I said he also wun listen, so better dun waste my time, saliva and mood.
To tell u the truth, I rather he get 20 or more pts so that he will get into the "2nd grade institute" to wake him up so that he would learn more humility and b more hardworking.

Of New Year Ang Pows

I think I have finished collectin most of the CNY Ang pows already...this year the amount of $$ not very good lah... Altogether $208.5
haha here's the breakdown:

Parents:$80
DD's parents: $48
dd's relative : $52
My Msia's relative:$28.5(after converting RM68, 2nd auntie give RM50)

As usual, most of dd's daddy's side relative never give me any ang pow and her 2nd auntie... Oh well no hard feelings on my part... After all all these $$ I count as bonus only...

Plus the $100 I saved earlier(due to CNY hols, quite a feat considering I only get $50 per week, managed to saved $100 in 3weeks...anyway I used to save $100 every 3 weeks but then sometimes also guilty of spending it away, like go resturant eat lah, buy stuffs, for me and dd), going to save $300 into my POSB account... Yeah

Went wif mum to JB on wed, kena "forced" to show dd's pic to my uncle (all cos of mum's big mouth n chatterbox nature). My uncle and his wife(=auntie) all say dd pretty... think she must be happy to hear that... and I think my mum now also thinks she's pretty...cos she commented "if not pretty, I also dun wan"... then my mum say my elder bro say we 2 look very similar got "fu qi nian" husband-wife face... haha

Friday me counting my Ang pow $$, then mum came inside and KPO, then she suddenly ask why dd never give me her Ang Pow $$ this year to save in our joint acct? Recap: DD started giving me her ang pow $$ the last 2 years to save in our joint OCBC acct(so the money is all our Ang Pow $$ + some of my own savings)... Later all take out and put in OUB, then later all take out give to her to buy her car car... so now the orginal joint acct no $$ liao.

To tell the truth I also dunno why... haha so I can only say I dunno lor... I also dunno why after all the hype about saving $$ together during the discussion on buying car car, nothing have been done, although I opened a joint acct(all my savings from working PT and army) wif dd. No wonder ppl say women are fickle, one moment say this the other moment change their mind again... think all women are similar lah...

Reasoning 1: mabbe dd scare I will spend her $$ away if she put her $$ wif me?
Nah, she noes I am not the sort who splurges..

Reasoning 2:She got no $$ to save, or she scare that it would be hard for her to take out the $$ if it was left with me, cos she noes I dun like her extravagant spending habits

Reasoning 3:(Most likely) Her frends/family told her not to trust me, cos if she put her $$ wif me, then if one day we go our seperate ways(touch wood) then she would lose all her $$(meaning cheat her $$ lah). ya this would be the most reasonable ans. Think we 2 still lack the basic trust, nvm trust have gotta b earned, after these 6 yrs, she still dun trust me enough then there's nothing much I can do right?

Actually I think it would be better to put the $$ into our joint acct if she REALLY wan to save, cos I noe her pattern, if she sees $$ in her bank acct chances are she would be tempted to spend away...her thinking is "still got $$ inside mah, spend a little nvm" so save $200 then day1: spend $100, day2 spend $150... then in the end? save $200 but spent $250... haha this is her pattern...

Really would like to walk down the aistle wif dd, must save $$ hard hard.... Hey sio hey sio

Valentines day coming dunno wat to get for dd, must start to scout around liao, afterall dd only deserved the best(I can get), me anything also can lah... even $4.90 bear haha(wah so fast, the $4.90 bday bear turning 1 year old liao)

Promised to take her to Long Beach on 24th Feb... Afterall we(me is VERY VERY long, close to a year I think dd I not sure lah) both haben have crabs for quite long time liao... so Long Beach trip is must go one...
